The event marks the final event of the Ryder Cup qualification period for Team Europe, with Rasmus Højgaard needing to finish in a tie for 29th with one other player or better to overtake Shane Lowry and claim the final automatic spot in Luke Donald's 12-man team.

English quartet Matt Fitzpatrick, Aaron Rai, Matt Wallace and Marco Penge are among those also teeing it up as they aim to make an impression in their bid for a Ryder Cup Captain's Pick.

Niklas Nørgaard is the defending champion having won his maiden DP World Tour title at the four-time Ryder Cup venue last season.

European Tour Productions, the DP World Tour’s in-house production company, will produce and distribute live coverage of the event.
