Oh brother: The three sets of siblings at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship

The Fitzpatricks, Højgaards and Elviras all tee it up at Yas Links this week.

Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick

Seeing brothers playing together on the DP World Tour has become fairly common in recent years but to have three sets at the same event is a rarity.

To have three sets all qualify for a limited field event is even less common but that is the case this week with the Fitzpatricks, Højgaards and Elviras all having made it to the first event of the DP World Tour Play-Offs at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Here, we take a look at the sensational siblings on show this week.

Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick

It looked for a while like neither of the English duo would be qualifying for the Play-Offs but each of them have experienced a surge in form to make it to the UAE.

After solid performances in the season's first three Major Championships, Matt truly found his stride over the summer, registering five consecutive top fives at The Open, the Genesis Scottish Open and across the Back 9 to ease into the top 20 on the Rankings.

Alex was in a battle to keep his card just a month ago but a top ten at the Open de España presented by Madrid allayed any fears before he finished third at the DP World India Championship and 21st at the Genesis Championship to extend his season.

Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard

Probably the most famous set of brothers in golf at the minute, the identical twin Højgaards continue to make a big impression on both sides of the Atlantic.

Rasmus has been a picture of consistency in 2025, missing a single cut on the DP World Tour with two runner-up finishes and qualifying for a Ryder Cup debut at Bethpage.

Nicolai may have missed out on his own second Ryder Cup appearance but he has proven he has an appetite for the big stage, with a tie for fourth at the Genesis Scottish Open and a runner-up finish at the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo sending him up the Rankings.

Nacho and Manuel Elvira

While Manuel is making his Play-Off debut in his second season on the DP World Tour, Nacho has been a regular at the biggest events for years and has two wins under his belt.

It looked for much of the season like Manuel would upstage his older sibling, carding three top tens across the season to consistently keep himself in the mix for the top 70.

Nacho on the other hand was on the outside looking in heading into the final even of the regular season but a second-placed finish at the Genesis Championship ensured he would finish above his brother.
