On the DP World Tour, every player is playing for something - historic titles, career defining qualification, and championships that will shape their future.
A new season begins this week, with the 2026 Race to Dubai teeing off in Australia for the first of a minimum of 42 tournaments in 25 different countries.
For the third season in succession, the DP World Tour’s global schedule will once again comprise three distinct phases, beginning with five ‘Global Swings’ followed by the ‘Back 9’, with the season then culminating with the ‘DP World Tour Play-Offs’.
During the Opening Swing, reigning Race to Dubai champion Rory McIlroy will make a long-awaited return to Australia as he begins his quest to draw level with Colin Montgomerie and claim a record-equalling eighth season-long crown.
Later in the campaign, a new event on the DP World Tour will be launched with the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship marking the first event of the European Swing.
In addition to the ISCO Championship from July 9-12, DP World Tour members will also have access to the PGA TOUR’s Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic, which features as part of the Race to Dubai for the first time from July 16-19.
As in previous years, the consistent thread throughout the course of the season will be the five Rolex Series events – the premium category of events on the DP World Tour.
After nine HotelPlanner Tour graduates made it to the season finale at the DP World Tour Championship in 2025, with three securing dual membership with the PGA TOUR, the new cohort will be aiming to make their mark.
Wherever it may be, each event is a meaningful chapter in every player’s individual pursuits.
And through newly created Swing Shows and our popular Fantasy game, you, as fans, will be part of the journey, feeling every triumph and heartbreak during the Tour's 13 month global odyssey.
All roads lead to Dubai, with Matt Fitzpatrick hoping he can play his way back to the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates in November 2026 to defend his DP World Tour Championship title and be in the mix to win the Harry Vardon Trophy.
"I am really looking forward to playing in 2026 the Genesis Scottish Open and the DP World Tour Championship and trying to defend this title, along with many more that I look forward to playing next year," he said.
