Future stars of the game are being put at the heart of an initiative which will see them brought closer to their heroes on the DP World Tour at the Danish Golf Championship.
With the spotlight on Furesø Golf Club as it welcomes the DP World Tour for the first time this week, the par three fifth will have a celebratory feel as it promotes youth participation.
Transformed into 'The High 5 Hole', it will feature a lounge area with access only for children and young people.
The lounge will include activities, competitions, beanbags and a DJ to create an energetic atmosphere.
The area is open all week, but with a special focus on the weekend, when children will have the opportunity to meet the players up close, give them a high five, and feel the atmosphere in the middle of the tournament.
A nearest-the-pin competition, featuring children and young people, will also be held after the final putt drops on Saturday and Sunday over the fifth hole.
All Danish golf clubs have been invited to send a junior representative to compete, with the best performer winning a prize for the junior section of their golf club.
Denmark's national championship celebrates its 11th edition this week, having first featured on the DP World Tour's global schedule in 2014.
