Danish Golf Challenge: Three to Watch

The Danish Golf Challenge marks the start of nine consecutive HotelPlanner Tour events on the Road to Mallorca, with a new venue, Bogense Golf Club, playing host from May 22-25. Here are three players to keep an eye on…

Form horse: Euan Walker

Euan Walker

Scotsman Euan Walker has been one of the most consistent performers on the Road to Mallorca in recent weeks. The 29-year-old hasn’t missed a cut since the opening event of the season at the SDC Open and produced his best finish of the year at the Challenge de España.

Other notable outings include a top 15 at the UAE Challenge and a top 20 in Delhi. After regularly threatening the leaders, in-form Walker could be one to watch in Bogense.

Local boy: Victor Sidal Svendsen

Denmark’s Victor Sidal Svendsen heads into his home HotelPlanner Tour event in fine form. The three-time Nordic Golf League winner finished solo second at the Challenge de España, one shot back of winner Clement Charmasson, and the Dane’s performance in Girona was a continuation of what has been a consistent stretch of golf.

Having shared the first round lead at the Abu Dhabi Challenge, Sidal Svendsen would end the second event of the UAE swing in a tie for fifth, after posting four consecutive rounds in the 60s. Back on home soil, Sidal Svendsen will this week be looking to close the gap to Daniel van Tonder and Renato Paratore at the top of the Road to Mallorca Rankings.

The outsider: George Bloor

George Bloor

Englishman George Bloor could be an outside pick at the Danish Golf Challenge. Currently sitting 32nd on the Road to Mallorca, Bloor has missed just one cut in 2025, coming at the Delhi Challenge.

Having placed tied for seventh at the Kolkata Challenge and inside the top 30 at four further HotelPlanner Tour events this year, Bloor making a move towards the top of the leaderboard this week wouldn’t come as a surprise. After topping the Clutch Pro Tour’s Order of Merit in 2023, the Englishman will be looking to edge closer to the Road to Mallorca’s top 20 this week.
