Adrien Saddier enjoyed a successful second round as the home favourite moved into contention at the 2025 FedEx Open de France.
After a one-under-par first round, Saddier was back to his brilliant recent form with five birdies on Friday in a bogey-free 66 to reach six under.
All five came from long range, with putts of 23 feet on the 14th and 14 feet on the 17th, either side of a chip-in at the 15th, followed by two closing birdies from 17 and 18 feet.
"It was really good," he said. "I was quite lucky on the front nine, to be honest. I got a really lucky bounce on 14 and chip-in on 15. Yeah, it was nice to get some luck.
"I played solid on the back nine and finished with two birdies to make a charge, so pretty good."
Saddier enjoyed home support and was also happy to switch off in between rounds and settle back into family life.
"Yeah, it was great," he said. "It was a great atmosphere to play, and I just tried to enjoy the atmosphere and just tried to play good and everything was better in the end.
"It's helping a lot, yesterday I went straight to the creche to take my son.
"It's just really helpful to get my mind off the business and just to think about my 'Dad' job. So it was pretty good."
