Everything you need to know from Friday's play at Delhi Golf Club.

Tommy Fleetwood took over at the top of the leaderboard while Shane Lowry enjoyed home comforts on day two of the 2025 DP World India Championship.

Here is everything you need to know from Friday's play at Delhi Golf Club.

Flawless Fleetwood takes the lead

European Ryder Cup star Fleetwood took a one-shot lead into the weekend after making eight birdies and no bogeys in a sensational second-round 64. The Englishman finished his round with an eight-foot birdie on the ninth hole to reach 12 under par and sit one ahead of Major Champions Shane Lowry and Brian Harman at the halfway stage. He said: "It's been very, very enjoyable. It's a test of patience when you're not quite on it because it's one of those courses, you get a few of them where you feel if you hit it good off the tee you're going to have some short irons and wedges and feel like you've always got a chance of going on a run. It's such a waiting game. You've got to be very patient. It's been a great test."

McIlroy's late birdie burst puts him back on track

World Number Two Rory McIlroy finished very strongly indeed in the afternoon, reeling off four birdies over the final six holes to sign for a second-successive 69. The Northern Irishman, who made six birdies in total on Friday, said: "Yeah, it was a strong finish, got myself sort of back in the tournament. I need a strong start tomorrow but yeah, it was much better on the back nine."

Home comforts for Lowry

Lowry received vocal support as he shot a 69 to sit one off the lead at the midway point. Among those cheering him on were a family with strong Irish connections who travelled a long way to see him. Lowry wrote in an Instagram post: "Am fortunate to travel the world and feel the support from fans but it’s when you least expect it when it means the most. The Arora family flew in from Bangalore to watch me play in India today. No matter where you go you’ll always find people from Offaly."

Nakajima chips in

Keita Nakajima put in a fine display as he attempted to chase down Fleetwood on Friday afternoon. One of the highlights of his 69 was this wonderful chip-in birdie from just off the 15th green. He was two shots off the lead going into the weekend.

Jamieson inches from ace

Scotland's Scott Jamieson went agonisingly close to holing his tee-shot on the par-three seventh but instead had to settle for a tap-in birdie.
