Golf as a Game for All: The G4D Tour

The G4D Tour was launched in 2022 in partnership with EDGA. Both men and women can compete, with Gross and Net formats that are open to professionals and amateurs. After the third season, a total of 66 players from 21 different countries have competed. To ensure there are no financial barriers, all player and caddy travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the Tour.

The DP World Tour has also created The G4D Open in partnership with The R&A - a new major championship for golfers with disability.

The European Tour Group has also provided financial support to EDGA, so it can move from a volunteer-led organisation to a semi-professional one.

The G4D Tour is helping to encourage a wider take up of golf within the disabled community by challenging stereotypes and creating new idols. This unlocks benefits including improved cardiovascular, respiratory, and metabolic profiles, improved muscle strength and balance, and improved mental wellbeing.
