Mark Clougherty and Marjan Gavez share Paris lead

World Number One Marjan Gavez and military veteran Mark Clougherty will share a one-shot lead heading into the final round of the G4D Tour @ FedEx Open de France (Net).

The duo both made their G4D Tour debuts at the G4D Tour @ Betfred British Masters (Net) as they secured top five finishes at The Belfry and have brought that form to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche.

An above-the-knee leg amputee, Marjan’s 2025 form has seen him climb to the top of the Net World Ranking for Golfers with Disability to earn his place in G4D fields.

The Slovenian made birdies either side of a quadruple bogey on the sixth and while he dropped a shot on the tenth, he eagled the 14th and birdied the 16th before double-bogeying his final two holes in a 76.

"My round was good," he said. "I had a good game and am in a good place.

"The golf course is in very good condition and I played the way I can.

"The eagle was maybe a little lucky but it's good.

"I hope tomorrow that the leading position stays with me."

Irishman Clougherty has overcome incredible adversity to make it to the pinnacle of the all abilities game after being medically discharged from the Royal Military Police in 2013.

While he has had post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) since 2003, Clougherty was not actually diagnosed until six years later after suffering a double leg fracture while playing semi-professional football in the Irish League with Moyola.

The injury left him with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in his right leg and foot, affecting his nervous system.

Unbeknown to him, he was told at his consultation he had been suffering from a second underlying case of PTSD since 2005 when he was treated for testicular cancer.

His round was not quite as adventurous as Gavez's as he carded three birdies and seven bogeys to also sit at four over.

England's Adam Dalton was a shot back, one ahead of Norwegian Ellen Katherine Larsen and two clear of Czech Filip Rataj.
