Newly-crowned Major champion and past Genesis Scottish Open winner Aaron Rai will join reigning U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun and five-time Major winner Brooks Koepka at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open, with tickets on sale now at etg.golf/GSO26Tickets.
The trio join a stellar field gathering at the Renaissance Club from July 9–12, 2026, including World Number One Scottie Scheffler, defending champion Chris Gotterup, European Ryder Cup star Viktor Hovland, and former Genesis Scottish Open champions Robert MacIntyre, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele.
Rai sealed his maiden Major title at the US PGA Championship in May, becoming the first Englishman to lift the Wanamaker Trophy since ‘Long’ Jim Barnes in 1919.
The World Number 13, who has four DP World Tour titles and two PGA TOUR wins to his name, claimed the first of his two Rolex Series victories at the Genesis Scottish Open in 2020, defeating fellow Englishman Tommy Fleetwood in a play-off.
Ahead of his ninth consecutive appearance at Scotland’s national open, Rai said: "The win at Renaissance Club in 2020 was really special. I played a lot in Scotland growing up, and being able to win on Scottish soil was an incredible feeling. A lot has happened in the six years since, and particularly in the last few weeks, but I am as excited as ever to be coming back to the Genesis Scottish Open.”
Spaun has confirmed his return to the Genesis Scottish Open ahead of his U.S. Open title defence at Shinnecock Hills.
The World Number Nine secured his maiden Major in style 12 months ago, holing a 65-foot birdie putt on the last to seal a two-shot victory over Scottish favourite MacIntyre.
Spaun, who won his third PGA TOUR title at the Valero Texas Open in April, said: “I’ve played the Genesis Scottish Open a couple of times in the past, and this year I hope it’s part of another exciting summer. I have a big couple of weeks coming up, and then I’m looking forward to getting back over to the UK for this event and The Open.”
Koepka will be making a highly anticipated return to the Genesis Scottish Open for the first time in 11 years, following three consecutive appearances from 2013-2015.
The three-time US PGA Championship winner and double U.S. Open champion will be aiming for more Scottish success, having claimed a 2013 victory in the home of golf as part of a successful spell on the Challenge Tour, now the HotelPlanner Tour, early in his career.
Kopeka said: “I have great memories of playing in Scotland over the years, going way back to that victory in 2013, so it’s cool to be going back to the Genesis Scottish Open this summer. It’s in a great spot in the week before The Open, and has an interesting field with the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour guys coming together, so I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.”
The Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, counting on both the Race to Dubai Rankings delivered by DP World and the FedExCup, and boasts Genesis, the luxury automotive brand from South Korea, as title partner.
Genesis is title partner of two tournaments on the 2026 Race to Dubai, with the Genesis Championship in Korea rounding out the Back 9 in October, as well as two tournaments on the PGA TOUR’s 2026 schedule. The Genesis Scottish Open follows the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club, which ended with an impressive breakout win for American Jacob Bridgeman.
The event also benefits from the continued commitment of the Scottish Government and VisitScotland through to 2028, with the Renaissance Club remaining as host venue until 2030.
The fan experience at the Genesis Scottish Open includes the Fringe by the Tee pop-up stage, in conjunction with the Fringe by the Sea festival, with The Feeling and Toploader already confirmed as the Friday and Saturday headline acts, and more to be announced soon.
