Aaron Rai and Matthew Jordan punch their tickets to season finale in Dubai

Aaron Rai punched his ticket to next week's season-ending DP World Tour Championship with victory in Abu Dhabi, while Matthew Jordan will join him there after also climbing into the top 50 on the Race to Dubai Rankings.

Rai

Rai began the week 55th on the season-long standings, having not teed it up since finishing in a tie for third at the BMW PGA Championship in September.

Knowing he needed to break into the top 50 to extend his season, Rai produced his best golf when it mattered at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship as he beat Tommy Fleetwood in a play-off to secure his second Rolex Series victory on Sunday.

The Englishman now sits ninth ahead of the season finale at Jumeirah Golf Estates and he is looking forward to getting to Dubai.

He said: "I think it will be a pretty quick turnaround.

"It will be nice to just reflect and enjoy this over the next few hours. I'll get there on Tuesday and try to get into as normal a routine as I can.

"I'm sure things will be a little bit different on the back of a week like this, which is great, but hopefully I'll get some good preparation.

"I haven't played the course in probably five years. It will be nice to see how it's playing and what it's like."

His countryman Jordan signed for a closing 66 to finish in a tie for 15th and move from 52nd to 50th, claiming the final spot in next week's field.
