What’s in the bag? | Thriston Lawrence's winning clubs at the Omega European Masters

Thriston Lawrence became a two-time winner of the Omega European Masters as he claimed his fifth DP World Tour title - here are the clubs he had in his bag.

A Ping staffer, he has played with equipment from the manufacturer for several years, but has made a few changes for the 2025 season.

Most recently, the South African switched back to the Ping, Vault 2.0 Piper C – an older putter model – ahead of last week’s Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo.

Apart from that, his bag has remained unchanged since the KLM Open when he put his i240 five iron and Blueprint Forged S irons from six to nine into play.

Lawrence also added a G440 hybrid instead of a four iron ahead of the event in the Netherlands during the European Swing.

At the top of his bag, he started using his G440 Max driver at the Soudal Open in May.

He has stuck with a set-up of driver, three wood, five wood, hybrid, five to nine iron, four wedges - split across the Blueprint Forged S and S159s - and putter since the KLM Open, even during links conditions of the Genesis Scottish Open and The Open in the summer.

After finishing third on the Race to Dubai Rankings last year to earn a dual member card with the PGA TOUR, he brought in the G440 Max fairway woods ahead of the Nedbank Golf Challenge in his first start of the 2025 campaign last December.

Now a five-time DP World Tour winner, he opts for the 2021 Titleist Pro V1 ball.

When comparing his club selection from his victory in Crans-Montana in 2022, the only change in set-up is that he opted for a second fairway wood and a hybrid instead of a utility iron and a four iron this time around.

The equipment used by Thriston Lawrence for his win at the Omega European Masters:

Driver: Ping, G440 Max

Three wood: Ping, G440 Max

Five wood: Ping, G440 Max

Hybrid: Ping, G440 (23 degree)

Five iron: Ping, i240

Six to nine iron: Ping, Blueprint Forged S

Pitching wedge: Ping, Blueprint Forged S

50, 54 and 60-degree wedge: Ping, S159

Putter: Ping, Vault 2.0 Piper C

Ball: Titleist, Pro V1 (21)
