A look in the bag of Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo winner Alex Noren.
The Swede is back in the winner’s circle after a seven-year wait, joining a cluster of players to have won the British Masters on two occasions that includes Seve Ballesteros.
Having only returned to competitive golf in May after recovering from a significant hamstring injury that left him sidelined for seven months, Noren was making just his third start on the DP World Tour since last year’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Since then, he has switched into the new Callaway Opus SP wedges at the Genesis Scottish Open, while he added a new Callaway Prototype fairway wood ahead of the British Masters.
But it was on the greens where Noren particularly stood out against the field at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, finishing top for Strokes Gained: Putting with a total of +2.07, using the Odyssey O-Works 1W.
