VOTE - Who is your player of the Back 9?

Vote for your Player of the Back 9…

After nine events, featuring eight winners from seven countries, the Back 9 reached a climax over the weekend at the Genesis Championship.

Below, pick who you think was the stand-out performer from our four-strong shortlist.

Marco Penge

The Englishman won the Open de España presented by Madrid in a play-off against Dan Brown to become the first player to win three times on the 2025 Race to Dubai. His victory in the Spanish capital earned him exept status for next year's Masters Tournament and The Open at Royal Birkdale. He also secured top-ten finishes at the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo and Omega European Masters as he made a late push to make the European Ryder Cup team.

Alex Noren

Won twice across his three appearances during the Back 9. After winning the Betfred British Masters at The Belfry to return to the winner's circle for the first time since 2018, the 43-year-old - absent for several months at the start of the year - enjoyed more joy on English soil as he won the BMW PGA Championship for the second time too, edging out Adrien Saddier in a play-off at Wentworth Club to become Sweden's most successful male golfer.

Dan Brown

Already a winner on Tour this season in Germany, the Englishman came close to adding further silverware at Spain's national open. Despite playing through the pain barrier with a neck injury, he pushed the in-form Penge all the way. Registered back-to-back top tens at the British Masters and Amgen Irish Open, before finishing in a tie for 12th as he enjoyed a productive spell climbing the Race to Dubai Rankings to boost his chances of earning dual membership with the PGA TOUR.

Joakim Lagergren

Amid the euphoric scenes among the home crowds as Rory McIlroy won the Irish Open, it can be easy to forget who forced the career Grand Slam winner to produce one of the great finishes in recent memory with an eagle at the last to get into the play-off. The Swede arrived at The K Club on the back of a top ten in Switzerland, and he has since finished 11th and then fifth in Spain to help him climb into the top 20 on the Race to Dubai ahead of next month's DP World Tour Play-Offs in the Middle East.
