Hatton will join Ryder Cup team-mate Jon Rahm as he makes his first return to the Spanish capital following a top ten in 2024.

The eight time DP World Tour winner will be back in Madrid for one of the DP World Tour’s most historic national opens, having appeared on the schedule almost every year since the Tour’s inception in 1972.

"I'm looking forward to returning to the Open de España presented by Madrid,” said Hatton.

“It's a tournament with so much history, Club de Campo is a fantastic venue, and the support from the fans always makes it a great week. I'm excited to be back and hopefully in contention on Sunday."

The 33-year-old arrives in Madrid with a proven record of winning around the world, boasting victories in seven different countries in Italy, Turkey, England, Scotland, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as in America on the PGA TOUR.

With a list of accolades that also include four Ryder Cup appearances (2018, 2021, 2023 and 2025), Hatton’s presence adds further star appeal to the Open de España presented by Madrid as the tournament prepares to return to Club de Campo Villa de Madrid for a seventh consecutive year.
