The HotelPlanner Tour has been the perfect platform for the next generation of golfing stars since its debut season in 1989. The list of players to excel having come through the pathway grows each year, with the class of ‘24 the latest graduates to impress having made the step up.
Since its inception, 231 former HotelPlanner Tour players have amassed 619 wins on the DP World Tour, with several of last year’s graduates making their mark during the 2025 Race to Dubai.
From the class of ’24, four players have registered victories on Golf’s Global Tour since securing promotion in Mallorca 12 months ago, including John Parry, Martin Couvra, Kristoffer Reitan and Nicolai von Dellingshausen.
Englishman Parry was the first to do so when he took his fine form on the HotelPlanner Tour into the new season. After securing automatic promotion with three wins on last year’s Road to Mallorca, Parry went on to win a fourth time in the calendar year and a first time on the DP World Tour since 2010 with a two-stroke victory in the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
Needing something special on the final day, Parry did just that, firing a stunning eight under par 64, which included a six under back nine, to surge to victory. He’s also picked up six other top ten finishes this term and is in a strong position to earn one of the ten PGA TOUR cards come the season’s end.
French star Couvra announced himself in 2023 when he became only the seventh amateur in history to win on the HotelPlanner Tour when he came out on top at the Challenge de España.
Just over 12 months later, the 22-year-old would graduate to the DP World Tour, and he hasn’t looked back. Another player in-line to earn back-to-back promotions, Couvra has racked up six top tens and a breakthrough victory which came at the Turkish Airlines Open back in May.
Last year’s Rolex Grand Final winner, Reitan from Norway, will almost certainly earn dual membership with the PGA TOUR following the Race to Dubai’s conclusion after enjoying an outstanding first season on the DP World Tour.
The 27-year-old, who climbed inside the promotion places with his victory in the season-ending event last year, has been ever-present at the top of leaderboards on the DP World Tour throughout 2025. Reitan has made it almost customary to go on a Sunday charge, and did so with devastating effect at the Soudal Open, carding a nine under 62 to force a play-off before winning on the second extra hole.
Reitan changed the course of his career with victory in the Rolex Grand Final, and continues to go from strength-to-strength, with seven other top ten finishes alongside his win seeing him sit fourth on the current Race to Dubai.
Von Dellingshausen from Germany held on to claim the final promotion place in Mallorca last year and has made the most of his return to the DP World Tour.
He became the latest winner from the class of ‘24 when he produced a putting masterclass to win the Austrian Alpine Open presented by SalzburgerLand by two shots, and he looks set to tee it up in the DP World Tour Play-Offs next month.
Despite not winning, several other graduates from 2024 have impressed, with Sweden’s Joakim Lagergren, Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen from Denmark, Spaniard Angel Ayora and Finn Oliver Lindell all sitting comfortably inside the top 50 on the Race to Dubai.
