Andy Murray, Ben Stokes and John Terry, three icons of British sport, are confirmed for the BMW PGA Championship’s Celebrity Pro-Am, the traditional curtain raiser to the prestigious Rolex Series event, on Wednesday September 10, 2025.
The trio will form part of a star-studded line up of celebrities from the worlds of sport, music and entertainment when the BMW PGA Championship returns to Wentworth Club from September 9-14.
Demand for tickets across the week is high and fans are encouraged to purchase early to avoid disappointment. Ticket info.
Murray made his Celebrity Pro-Am debut last year alongside countryman Robert MacIntyre shortly after announcing his retirement from tennis after the Paris Olympics. Murray won three Grand Slam titles and Olympic Gold during his glittering career, which also saw him spend 41 weeks as World Number One.
Stokes, the England Men’s Test Captain who was a key figure in England’s 2019 Cricket World Cup victory, as well as their ICC T-20 World Cup win in 2022, will also make his return to the fairways after last year playing with Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald.
Former England and Chelsea captain, Terry, who is Chelsea’s most-decorated player of all-time, won five Premier League titles with the Blues. He will be making his fourth appearance in the Celebrity Pro-Am.
Darrell O’Hora, Championship Director of the BMW PGA Championship, said: “The BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am is a fun-filled day for all the family and a great way to see these guys up close in a completely different environment. We are very excited with the announcement of three of Britain’s most recognisable sports stars and we will be able to reveal further names in the coming weeks.”
The Championship takes place less than an hour from central London, with a range of transport options available for spectators.
As per previous years, BMW Group owners will receive preferred on-site parking benefits. A free shuttle service will be available to all spectators from Virginia Water railway station.
Park & Ride services will be operating for all spectators from Broomhall Farm in Sunningdale and Royal Ascot Racecourse, Ascot. A parking fee of £10 will be charged. Season Ticket holders can buy a season car parking pass for £30 and payment in advance is encouraged as on the day prices will increase to £15 per vehicle.
