Do you love getting a victory over your sibling? Well, in elite sport it can be a common source of motivation.
On Friday at the Open de España presented by Madrid, Nicolai Højgaard made his first hole-in-one in competition.
It comes hot on the heels of his first ever since picking up the clubs as a child, making an ace during the Pro-Am at the DP World Tour's Omega European Masters last month.
As DP World Tour and Ryder Cup winners and dual members on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, there isn't much one Højgaard has over the other.
But when it comes to holes-in-one, Nicolai has the advantage.
"We had a massive competition over who would make the first one [a hole-in-one]," he said.
"Now I’ve got two. So, he needs to up his game to keep up. It's a nice feeling."
Nicolai holed his tee shot at the par-three third, measuring 217 yards, at Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.
Despite that moment of excellence, the 25-year-old is set to miss the cut in the Spanish capital after a second-round one-over-par 72 dropped him back to four over.
"You want a shot like that to obviously be the highlight of your week, but the poor play has overshadowed everything," he added.
"So, the feeling of making the hole-in-one is nice, but not as good as I wanted."
