Grant Forrest celebrated double delight on home soil as he scooped a $10,000 bonus for carding a course record on his way to winning the Nexo Championship.
The Scotsman, who returned to the DP World Tour winner’s circle after a four-year absence on Sunday, is the first beneficiary of a new performance-based initiative on the Race to Dubai.
With the DP World Tour making its first visit to the Old Course at Trump International Golf Links Scotland, there was a guaranteed winner of the $10,000 Course Record Presented by Nexo prize, launched earlier this week.
In the second round on Friday, Forrest made seven birdies and one bogey in a six-under-par 66 to go one shot lower than South Africa’s Richard Sterne managed on the opening day.
In a one-off for the Nexo Championship, Forrest also earned an additional $50,000 award in NEXO Tokens.

Holding a three-shot lead heading into the final round, Forrest carded a closing 72 to complete a commanding four-shot victory and claim $467,500 in prize money.
It is his first title on the DP World Tour since another in his homeland at the Hero Open over Fairmont St Andrews in August 2021.
The course record prize pot will reset to $10,000 for the upcoming Danish Golf Championship, the final event of the Closing Swing.
The Course Record Award Presented by Nexo will be season long, culminating at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, before resetting for the start of the 2026 season.
