MAEXTRO, the representative of China's high-end luxury cars, has today (13 February) been announced as Presenting Sponsor and designated car brand of the DP World Tour’s 2026 Hainan Classic.
The DP World Tour is the main men's professional golf tour of the European Tour group. As the opening tournament of the Asian Swing, the Hainan Classic will be held at Mission Hills, Haikou from March 19-22. The event is co-hosted by the China Golf Association and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province and is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the China Tour. The total prize fund for the event is US$2.55 million, with a world-class field set to tee it up.
This tournament is not only the highest-profile professional sporting event held in Hainan since the World Cup of Golf, but also an innovative format with 36 holes on two courses starting at the same time. A professional-amateur star match will also be held during the event, where up to 120 top international professional players will compete with 120-star amateur players from all walks of life in an innovative "sports and tourism" model. The DP World Tour Hainan Classic once again chose Mission Hills in Haikou to host the tournament, recognising Hainan's ability to host major sporting events of this scale.
