One of the UK’s leading sight loss charities, Guide Dogs was the Official Charity Partner of the Betfred British Masters for the second time, with activations resulting in £108,000 more being raised compared with 2024.

British-based bookmaker Betfred pledged to donate £500 for every eagle or better made during the week.

In collaboration with the DP World Tour’s existing Green Drive sustainability programme, tournament title partner Betfred committed to donating £500 for every green driven at The Belfry Hotel & Resort’s renowned par four 10th hole across the four tournament days.

A hole-in-one by Ben Schmidt in the first round also resulted in a £50,000 donation, courtesy of a pledge by Betfred.

In the tournament PGA Village, fans were also able to donate to Guide Dogs by taking on the Long Putt Challenge and the Drive the 10th Simulator by Nexo, resulting in further donations.

Spectators could take part in each of the activations for a minimum donation of just £3, while donation points were situated in various locations around The Belfry.

Founded in 1934, following their first partnership in 1931, Guide Dogs is a charity that is almost entirely dependent on donations. Find out more at guidedogs.org.uk.
