Five players have earned HotelPlanner Tour playing privileges for the 2026 season after graduating from the Clutch Pro Tour and Tartan Pro Tour.
English duo Callum Farr and David Langley will be joined by Irishman James Sugrue on next year’s Road to Mallorca after the trio finished inside the top three on the Clutch Pro Tour’s Order of Merit.
Farr, who relied on a series of invites to make seven HotelPlanner Tour starts last season, will take up category 12a status in 2026 after topping the Clutch Pro Tour Order of Merit following a season which included three victories. The 27-year-old kickstarted the year with a victory in the opening event of the season at the UAE Championship at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club in Abu Dhabi before going on to register a second victory in the Middle East, coming at the Mouj Challenge in Oman. Farr’s third win of the year came in August at the Imagine Cruising Masters, where he ended the week with a four-round total of 22 under par to finish four strokes clear of his compatriot Jake Burnage.
Langley will tee it up on the Road to Mallorca next year following a stunning month-long run of form from the start of June which saw him win three out of four events on the Clutch Pro Tour. The 31-year-old sealed a two-stroke victory at the Caddy Comps Championships at Clandon Regis Golf Club before going on to beat Farr in a play-off at the Q Hotels Collection Open in his next start. After finishing in a tie for 11th at the Rapsodo Open, Langley won for a third time in just over a month at the Rabat Open in Hertfordshire. Sugrue, who qualified for the Masters Tournament in 2020 after winning the British Amateur Championship at Portmarnock in June 2019, will tee it up on the Road to Mallorca following a strong end to Clutch Pro Tour season. The 28-year-old finished second at the Mizuno Championship – the penultimate event of the season – before placing in a tie for sixth at the Clutch Tour Championship.
The three Clutch Pro Tour graduates will be joined by Scottish duo Rory Franssen and Liam Johnston on the HotelPlanner Tour next year after the pair graduated from the Tartan Pro Tour. Franssen topped the Order of Merit after winning three times in 14 starts. The 26-year-old won for the first time at the Blairgowrie Perthshire Masters before landing a second triumph at the Cardrona Classic, where he finished two strokes clear of Graeme Robertson and Chris Maclean on 14 under par. Franssen’s third win of the year came at the Gleneagles Masters, where he ended the week two shots ahead of Calum Fyfe.
Johnston, despite not tasting victory on the Official Satellite Tour in 2025, earned category 12b status on the HotelPlanner Tour thanks to a string of consistent performances, where he finished inside the top five in seven of the 14 Tartan Pro Tour events. The 32-year-old has won three times on the Road to Mallorca previously, most recently at the Empordà Challenge in 2022.
