The Qatar Masters may have concluded for another year, but golf remained at the heart of the celebrations as Doha Golf Club hosted activities for Qatar’s National Sports Day.
Held two days on from the climax of the DP World Tour’s annual stop in the country, the nationwide initiative celebrated its 15th edition on Tuesday.
As part of the activities, His Highness the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, played golf alongside players from various age groups, as well as members of the national golf team.
Held this year under the slogan "I Chose Sport," his participation underscored the role of physical activity in fostering social cohesion, while raising awareness of its importance in adopting a healthy and active lifestyle.
