The 2018 Ryder Cup Captain will join compatriots Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and Lucas Bjerregaard in the field, as well as Jeff Winther and Jacob Skov Olesen, who are also confirmed to tee it up near the Danish capital next month.

Tickets for the Danish Golf Championship start at 120 DKK for Wednesday’s practice day and 250 DKK for tournament days, with weekend and season tickets available for 500 and 650 DKK respectively. Click here to purchase.

Bjørn, Denmark’s most successful golfer in history, will once again assume the role of Tournament Chairman. In this ambassadorial role, the 15-time DP World Tour winner leverages his extensive industry experience in support of Denmark’s national golf championship.

In a career spanning four decades, Bjørn also masterminded Europe’s Ryder Cup victory at Le Golf National in Paris as his side defeated the United States 17½ - 10½ to win back the famous trophy in 2018. He served as a Vice Captain to Luke Donald at the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome and will return to the backroom team for this year’s edition of golf’s greatest team contest, held at Bethpage in New York.

“I’ve been lucky enough to play on home soil a number of times in my career and there is really no greater thrill than playing in front of your home fans,” said Bjørn. “This tournament has become such an important fixture for Danish golfers, no matter what level they are competing at, and we hope to enjoy another successful edition this year.

“We have seen some incredible golfers come out of this country over the last 20 years and I’m very proud to have played my own small part in that. It’s great to see so many youngsters still rising through the ranks and the work done by the GolfPromote team plays a huge role in that success.”

Skov Olesen, who earned his playing rights for the 2025 Race to Dubai through Qualifying School, recently made headlines after sharing the first round lead of The 153rd Open Championship. The 26-year-old, who won The Amateur Championship in 2024, carded a four under par opening round of 67 to share the early lead at Royal Portrush.

Winther is enjoying his seventh consecutive season on the DP World Tour since earning his card for a third time at Qualifying School in 2018. The 37-year-old, who won the 2021 Mallorca Golf Open, is from Gladsaxe, located just 15 minutes from Furesø.
