The Careers in Golf Programme is an initiative aimed at increasing access to career opportunities within the golf industry.
Launched by the PGA European Tour to promote diversity and inclusion, the programme provides education and mentorship for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. By collaborating with the Golf Forum, the initiative helps aspiring professionals explore various roles beyond playing, including coaching, event management, golf course operations and fostering a more inclusive future for the sport.
This programme comprises a workshop which inspires young adults, aged 16 – 19, into careers in the golf industry, whilst also capturing potential future fans for golf, breaking down barriers and perceptions of the game. The second part involves unique access to the tournament allowing students to meet industry leaders and to see first-hand the work needed to deliver some of the biggest events in the world.
