Adrien Saddier led the way, Angel Hidalgo was in seventh heaven and Rory McIlroy made a young fan's day on Moving Day at the 2025 Amgen Irish Open.
Here is everything you need to know from Moving Day at The K Club.
Video game golf for Hidalgo
Angel Hidalgo shot a stunning 63 to lie one shot behind overnight leader Adrien Saddier and equalled a DP World Tour record with 12 birdies. Seven of those came in successive holes from the second, including a tee-shot to 18 inches at the third and a 43-foot putt at the fifth. Noted for his swashbuckling style, the Spaniard said: "I really felt for a few moments I was playing on the Playstation, to be honest. Every single shot was directly to the pin. Since the shot on hole number three - I hit a perfect shot - I felt in control with the swing. I said to my caddie, 'okay, it's a moment to throw the coin and see if we can go really low'."
Saddier out to finish the job
Saddier led after two rounds of last week's Omega European Masters before fading over the weekend and after rounds of 67, 66 and 68 gave him a one-shot lead over Hidalgo at 15 under, he is confident he can convert this time. "There is still 18 holes to play, so a lot of things can happen," he said. "As I said yesterday, I crushed myself last weekend. I have a good chance. I'm focused on tomorrow and what I have to do and what I can control. We'll see what happens."
A souvenir to treasure
As he entered the media facilities after his round of 68, home favourite and World Number Two Rory McIlroy threw his ball to a young girl who was waiting to collect autographs - leaving her in tears of joy.

Alfredo enjoys the spotlight
On the course, McIlroy was outscored by one by his playing partner Alfredo Garcia-Heredia. The 43-year-old hailed the crowd following McIlroy as "fantastic, the best I've seen so far in my life" and rose to the occasion with two eagles in his 67 - including this delightfully judged putt at the last and a well-deserved celebration.
Lord of the Dance
That crowd following McIlroy and his partner featured a familiar face in Riverdance and Lord of the Dance star Michael Flatley, who was spotted watching McIlroy's birdie putt at the fifth.
