2025 Road to Mallorca: Season by numbers

The 2025 Road to Mallorca began in South Africa back in January. Ten months on and only the Rolex Grand Final supported by The R&A remains, with 45 players set to tee it up in the season-ending showpiece at Club de Golf Alcanada from October 30 – November 2.

In total, 20 players will earn promotion to the DP World Tour following four rounds in Mallorca. Here are some of the numbers that have led us to the season finale…

29 – Events on the schedule

The Rolex Grand Final supported by The R&A will mark the 29th and final even on the 2025 Road to Mallorca, giving the 45 players in the field one last opportunity to earn one of the life-changing cards on Golf’s Global Tour. It all started in South Africa in February with four consecutive weeks in the Rainbow Nation, with the HotelPlanner Tour returning to India, and the UAE before arriving in mainland Europe for the first time in May for eighteen tournaments. Back-to-back weeks followed in China, with Mallorca the host once again for the final event of the campaign.

In total, the Road to Mallorca has visited 18 countries across three continents.

22 – Number of different winners

From 28 events, there have been 22 different winners with several players winning multiple times. South African JC Ritchie and Italian Renato Paratore both earned automatic promotion to the DP World Tour by winning three times in a single season, with Scotland’s David Law and South Africa’s Daniel van Tonder winning twice.

Of the 22 different winners, 15 joined the HotelPlanner Tour’s winner’s circle for the first time, including exciting prospects Joshua Berry from England, Frenchman Oihan Guillamoundeguy and Swede Hugo Townsend.

2 – Three-time victors

Talking of three-time winners, Paratore and Ritchie have guaranteed their return to the DP World Tour after both enjoyed outstanding campaigns on the Road to Mallorca. Ritchie’s three wins came in the space of just five starts with an eight shot win in the German Challenge powered by VcG followed by back-to-back wins in the Open de Portugal at Royal Obidos and the Italian Challenge. Paratore also achieved back-to-back wins, doing so in the UAE Challenge and Abu Dhabi Challenge back in April. The 28-year-old would have to wait until October for his third victory, as he came through a play-off to win the Hainan Open earlier this month.

Heading into the season finale in Mallorca, Ritchie currently tops the Rankings, with Paratore just x point behind in third place, as both target the summit at the season’s conclusion.

60 – Season-low round

In total, five players have signed for a sensational round of 60 on the 2025 Road to Mallorca. Leading that list is Frenchman Sebastien Gros who carded a 12 under par 60 in the second round of the Cell C Cape Town Open in association with Honor in February. South African Wilco Nienaber matched that with a 12 under par round of his own the very next week in the NTT DATA Pro-Am. Haraldur Magnus from Iceland came closest to the magic 59, seeing his putt go agonisingly close on the final hole before signing for an 11 under 60. Daniel Young from Scotland and Ireland’s Max Kennedy both fired ten under par rounds of 60 in the Blot Play9 in France.

9 – Most top ten finishes

Scotland’s David Law and Frenchman Oihan Guillamoundeguy have both amassed nine top ten finishes this season, with both all-but guaranteed promotion to the DP World Tour.

Law currently sits third in the Rankings, with a very real chance of ending the year as the Number One thanks to his nine cuts which include two wins and two second place finishes. Guillamoundeguy won for the first time on the HotelPlanner Tour in August, with two third places finishes seeing him also have an outside chance of ending the year as the Rankings leader.
