Genesis Championship - Day three digest

Mikael Lindberg and Nacho Elvira share the third-round lead, Jacques Kruyswijk goes one extreme to the other with his putter and a Korean hopeful almost wins a car.

Everything you need to know from Moving Day at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club.

Lindberg and Elvira move clear

Mikael Lindberg produced the joint lowest round of a testing Moving Day in Cheonan with a brilliant 67 to set the clubhouse target of eight under par. He briefly led by two shots at one point, but three birdies in four holes on the back nine, and a stunning par save at the last, saw Nacho Elvira join the Swede at the summit - two clear of the chasing pack. Lindberg said: "I'm not going to try to think too much about it. I've been playing well lately and have been playing well this week, and hopefully I can continue to play good golf tomorrow and we will see." Elvira revealed he borrowed his brother Manuel's 3-wood during the third round after his had cracked. The Spaniard said: "I don't know if it cracked yesterday or a few days ago, but it was coming off really weird every time I tried to hit a normal shot - it was slicing like 60 yards. Yesterday I needed it a couple of shots and hit a hybrid, and that's not working well. So I asked my brother, who missed the cut sadly, if I could use his. I didn't use it, but it's in the bag at least and I have 14 clubs."

The tale of two putts for Kruyswijk

Is there a better sight than holing a huge birdie putt? Just ask South Africa's Jacques Kruyswijk. However, around an hour later he saw the other side of putting when his birdie effort at the 13th was inches from finding the water!

Home hopeful almost wins cars

Tournament sponsor Genesis are offering a very generous prize of a new car for both the player and their caddie if they ace the 13th hole this week. The par three had a tricky pin on Moving Day, but Yongjun Bae was within a foot of achieving the feat.

Gumberg gunning for the hole

American Jordan Gumberg is among the players on the bubble for their playing privileges in 2026. This hole-out birdie at the 17th will aid his chances of playing on the DP World Tour next season.

All Ok at the last

Home favourite Taehoon Ok endured a roller coaster round of 72 on Saturday, but he was so close to finishing in style after hitting the pin with his third shot at the par-five last.
