Here is everything you need to know from Woo Jeong Hills Country Club.
Li and Kim lead the way
Chinese star Haotong Li put on a flawless performance in his 65 to set the clubhouse target in Cheonan. The four-time DP World Tour winner, starting on the back nine, rolled in birdies at the tenth, 12th, 16th, fourth and fifth before leaving the best until last with a 45-foot effort at the eighth. He said: "Very pleased to finish like this, especially with a couple of up and downs on the last four holes. Those were very important to keep momentum going. The greens are very tricky and fast. You have to put yourself in the right positions, also off the tee as well. Off the tee, I did well until the last couple of holes. That’s the key for the week." However, home favourite MK Kim had the local fans cheering when he nervelessly drained a five-foot putt at the last for a birdie to sit alongside Li at the summit at six under. The South Korean said: "I’m really happy with today. I putted really well. My shots weren’t great but I saved a lot and made a good score. I holed a bunker shot and made a lot of putts, that’s what went well today. The course is great. I’ve played here a lot of times, so I’m used to it. They (the fans) are supporting me a lot and it really cheers me up. Three days left. I’ll try my best on each of those days."

Elvis hits the perfect note
Australia's Elvis Smylie has had a brilliant campaign and his momemtum continued in the first round in South Korea as he opened up with a four-under 67 to sit two off the pace. He finished in style with this inch perfect chip-in at the ninth - his last hole of the day.
Micheluzzi holes out from the bunker
Smylie was joined at four under by another Australian in David Micheluzzi. The 29-year-old mixed six birdies with two dropped shots in his opening round, but this hole-out at the 13th was the pick of the birdie bunch.
Sungjae Im-pressive
Sungjae Im was another home favourite who was showcasing his skills at Woo Jeong Hills with this stunning approach into the ninth to set up his fourth birdie of the day.
Gavin Green's ace attempt
Malaysia's Gavin Green recorded the 24th ace of the DP World Tour campaign when he holed his tee-shot at the fourth with an eight iron from 166 yards.
