2025 Race to Dubai | By the numbers

From 19 first-time winners to Rory earning a seventh Race to Dubai title, we take a look at some of the standout figures from the 2025 Race to Dubai season on the DP World Tour.

The number of wire-to-wire winners on the DP World Tour across the entire 2025 Race to Dubai. Elvis Smylie, in the first event of the season - the BMW PGA Australia Championship, was the only player to achieve it.

The number of players who won the NEXO Course Record Award. Grant Forrest earned the prize at the inaugural Nexo Championship with a 66, while Marco Penge earned it at the Danish Golf Championship with a 64, resulting in two $10,000 awards.

Also the number of holes-in-one made by Dale Whitnell in a single round at the Investec South African Open Championship. The Englishman aced the  par-three second and 12th in round two at Durban Country Club.

The number of times Matt Fitzpatrick has now won the DP World Tour Championship, having defeated Rory McIlroy in a play-off at Jumeirah Golf Estates. He joins McIlroy and Jon Rahm as the only three-time winners of the event.

Also the number of graduates from the 2024 HotelPlanner Tour who ended the year with one of the top ten cards that earned them dual membership on the PGA Tour: Kristoffer Reitan, John Parry and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen.

The number of multiple winners on Tour this season. Leading the way with three victories is Race to Dubai number two Marco Penge, who claimed the Hainan Classic, Danish Golf Championship and Open de España presented by Madrid in a breakout season which saw him push Rory McIlroy all the way in the season-long race. McIlroy won twice (The Masters, Amgen Irish Open), as did Scottie Scheffler (US PGA Championship and The Open), and Alex Noren, who made an incredible injury comeback to win for the first time in seven years at the Betfred British Masters, then followed with a win at the BMW PGA Championship.

The number of albatrosses this season, starting wih CJ du Plessis in the third round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. He was followed by Keita Nakajima at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (Hole 18, Round 4), Niklas Lemke at the KLM Open (Hole 3, Round 2), Patrick Reed at the U.S. Open (Hole 4, Round 1), Joel Moscatel at the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo (Hole 17, Round 2), and Aaron Rai at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (Hole 2, Round 2).

The number of Race to Dubai titles Rory McIlroy now has. After claiming his fourth season-long crown in a row to eclipse the late Seve Ballesteros’ tally of six, McIlroy now sits one behind record holder Colin Montgomerie.

The biggest defecit made up in the last round by a winner. Kristoffer Reitan shot a course-record 62 at the Soudal Open, earning his place in a play-off and coming out on top to claim his maiden victory on the DP World Tour.

The number of play-offs on Tour this season.

The most top tens recorded by a single player. Angel Ayora may have been without a win in his rookie season but managed to notch up ten top tens across the 31 events he played this season. Jayden Schaper was the next closest, with nine.

The number of victories Alex Noren now has on the DP World Tour, the highest of any Swedish player in the history of the Tour.

The number of first-time winners on Tour this season. Elvis Smylie was the first of the lot, and was followed by Ryggs Johnston, Alejandro del Rey, Jacques Kruyswijk, Dylan Naidoo, Richard Mansell, Eugenio Chacarra, Marco Penge, Martin Couvra, Kristoffer Reitan, Nicolai von Dellinghausen, Connor Syme, J.J. Spaun, Adrien Saddier, Chris Gotterup, William Mouw, Ryan Gerard, Michael Kim and Junghwan Lee.

The number of eagles made by Marco Penge, the most of any player on Tour this season.

The number of holes-in-one on the DP World Tour this season. The most number in a single week was three, at the FedEx Open de France.

The number of events played by Jordan Gumberg, the most of any player on Tour this season. He memorably holed out on his final hole of the year for eagle in Korea to retain his playing rights inside the top 115 on the Race to Duai.

The lowest round of the season, achieved by Kristoffer Reitan at the Austrian Alpine Open presented by SalzburgerLand. It's also the joint-lowest final round score in the history of the DP World Tour.

The number of birdies made by Kristoffer Reitan this season, the most of any player. He had 13 more birdies than Angel Ayora, who was second on the list with 457.
